Re-Hue - Indigo Design Awards
March 31, 2026
Founded in 2017, Indigo Design Award is an international competition recognizing bold, innovative, and visionary work across disciplines.
Design That Deserves a Global Stage
We bring together designers, studios, and students from around the world to celebrate creativity that challenges convention and shapes the future.
Re-Hue is a reimagined crayon system designed to close the loop on one of the world’s most ubiquitous creative tools. Made from plant-based, non-toxic materials and packaged in compostable molded pulp, Re-Hue replaces petroleum-derived crayons with a fully circular alternative. The design extends product life through durability, at-home remolding, and a take-back program that enables reuse, recycling, or composting at end of life. By addressing material choice, manufacturing impact, and disposal simultaneously, Re-Hue transforms everyday creativity into an accessible act of environmental stewardship—coloring the world while renewing the earth.
